They were blown away by all the interesting fibers and how diverse the projects were for each month. They're really looking forward to putting all the projects into their class schedule. Actually, all the employees were fighting over which model to knit for the shop!
Many shop owners are putting their own twist on FYC, catering the program to fit their customers' needs.
At Monarch Knitting, when knitters bring in a finished FYC object for show and tell, they get $2 off the next kit! Or, frequent flyers get 10% off if they buy 6 kits in advance. Frequent flyers also get first dibs on kit colors a day before the public!
Keely at Sealed With a Kiss thinks FYC is fantastic! She said everyone that has seen the Starter Pack has fallen in love with the projects, presentation, and the yarns. Keely started a VIP program where customers can purchase the first three months of kits, up front at a discounted price. VIP status ensures a FYC kit and a spot in the class, plus first dibs on selecting the color of your choice. Other VIP perks will be available, too!
It is so exciting to see FYC grow legs at each of these shops! The first group of kits for the Cable Rib Hat by Barb Kervin ship out August 6 to all paticipating stores.
